Jean-Luc Godard, 1963. Interesting film in this director's oeuvre, but wasn't personally satisfying. Horrific scenes of torture, though, including a kind of waterboarding...
Why We Fight
Vital documentary about the industrial-military-congressional complex by Eugene Jarecki.
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Interesting film, beautifully done. I liked the attention payed on Robert Ford's life post-killing of JJ. Great acting by Casey Affleck(!)
Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
Kinda funny, kinda lame, still found it weird that this movie was made while Guantanamo continues to be what it is, but maybe it'll serve to increase or at least maintain attention on the issue.

The Sopranos
I finally finished watching the entire series. What a trip! I'll miss Tony and the rest of the violent, dysfunctional gang...
Black Snake Moan
Intense movie about the blues, loneliness and redemption. Don't let it scare you away - let it shock you awake. Craig Brewer continues to be a director to watch.
Dog Soldiers
Neil Marshall's first film follows a group of soldiers battling werewolves in rural Scotland. Over the top and sometimes campy but overall a great effort and worth checking out.
Extras - Extra Special Season Finale
Great, great stuff. Brought tears to my eyes and made me laugh out loud several times. I really love Gervais and Merchant's writing and acting.
The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters
Great documentary about classic video game competition for high scores.
